It’s my birthday.
Today was my birthday.
I’m like 12 when it comes to birthdays.
I love them. Way too much.
Like a 12 year old.
But today was super special for me.
This morning, my little girls surprised me with breakfast in bed.
I heard them rummaging around in the kitchen and was just about to go check on them when they came in my room holding a cookie sheet topped with a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles, a cupcake, and my diabetes supply bag.
Later, Matt took me to lunch. We ate on the patio at Shogun. So nice.
Afterwards, he took me to Rick’s Bakery to pick out a sweet treat.
I couldn’t decide between a real chocolate covered strawberry or a chocolate covered strawberry cookie. So what’s a girl to do…?
Then we went birthday shopping. YAY!
After dinner tonight we went for snow cones.
We’re snow cone obsessed.
It’s unhealthy.
I think know I’m the worst of the bunch.
While the kids and I waited for Matt to get our snow cones, we took pictures of ourselves. Shocker.
(P.S. My girl, Sherrilleta, sent me that dress I’m wearing for my birthday. Love it and love her!)
And in addition to all that… I got SO many sweet birthday Facebook messages, tweets, phone calls, and texts from my amazing, thoughtful friends and family.
I felt incredibly loved. And blessed.
And I could NOT have asked for more.

Happy Belated Birthday!
I love sno cones but we don’t have any sno cone places here. I do have an ice-shaver and make my own sno-cone syrup which is YUMMY! But I have to limit myself to one a day because I could probably burn through a bad of ice a day.
A “bag” not bad of ice. Omgosh. I’m just as bad at typing as I am at texting. LOL.
